one – New York is like Slough right?

Grill Street – S1W 4XE

I visited Grill Street by chance last month after venturing down Farnham road in Slough – The curry mile or food street hub of Slough. The key was to find a quick and tasty burger that would fill me up.

The design of the restaurant was what struck me at first. The bold and bright sign of Grill Street outside. The yellow and black gave it a New York theme which also emulated the Taxi’s in New York as supported by the large spray-painted mural and a reference to New York with Jay-Z, ’I’ve got 99 problems but my burger ain’t 1’. All it needed was the cliché Hollywood flag of America and I would’ve been in the big apple.           The lighting was bright, a small variety of lighting was used, it was simple and didn’t have much of a wow factor. The menu was laid out clearly and simply, it was effective and gave a variety of options to the customer and wasn’t confusing, it was easy to find the different variety of burgers offered. It was reasonably priced, 2 meals came to £15.00, The Peri burger meal was £6.50 and the Uptown Angus meal was £8.50, a £2.50 upgrade to make your burger a meal.

A gourmet beef and spicy Peri chicken burger was ordered, the buzzer system was used and personally – It took much longer than expected or maybe I’m just being dramatic because I was starving. When the food finally arrived, the burgers disappointed regarding size. Patty to bun ratio was annoying as I didn’t go to try the bread, however the taste was decent, the extras inside were tasty such as the jalapenos and melted cheese. The beef burger was dry, and a thin patty. The Peri burger felt dry and the marinade wasn’t spicy even though I asked for a hot flavouring. A key to a good burger is the sauce, therefore Grill Street didn’t deliver as only a basic mayonnaise was used in both burgers, mayo is important to me given I was born in Brussels, Belgium.                                                                                                      The fries were okay; Medium cut, well cooked with good flavour and an option to put salt or not with disposable packets. However, an overall feeling of the experience was that the restaurant has invested more in the interior of the shop rather than the taste of the food and in my case, the burger.

My fellow diners had a similar feel to the experience at Grill Street, would I come back here again? Highly unlikely, I wouldn’t come out of my way to travel 1+ hours. I would rather try something different or stay safe with a tried and trusted burger e.g. McDonalds Fillet-O-Fish

Welcome My Fellow Burger Lovers!

Hello everyone, I would like to wish you a warm welcome to my blog, Burger-Boy blogs. Even though I am a student at university, I am a master and king of the burger. Gourmet Burger Kitchen – RM20 2ZH

It was so bad I deleted all of the pictures!

In advance after a strenuous day of shopping, I came across a Gourmet Burger Kitchen or GBK which I had heard numerous reviews from acquaintances about the restaurant. After brief research of the company’s website, it came to my attention that the brand was well established given that GBK opened it’s doors in 2001. GBK had a similar theme to many of the other restaurants I have had the chance of reviewing such as Nando’s. A bold shop front sign of black and yellow, an high volume of glass and an interior which consisted of neutral yet effective colours of grey, black and wooden elements to make the customer feel as if they are sitting at home rather than a brightly coloured factory. I ordered a Classic Chicken burger and a side of House Fries which came to a total of £10.70, slightly overpriced in my opinion. The burger consisted of fried chicken patty, mayo, relish, salad and a sesame seeded bun.We went back to sit at our table to ponder how long and what the food would look like, it was disappointing to see the food arrived after 20 minutes and the weather did not help either given, we were seated outside.                                The experience got from bad to worse as when the food arrived, I was shocked at the size of the fries, they were smaller and thinner than toothpicks! The texture of the fries was similar to crisps – very crunchy and salty. Furthermore, I came for the main event which was the burger. Moreover, it was a disaster as the bun was larger than the patty, however the bread was dry and as hard as a rock. Furthermore, the patty was smaller than a chicken strip and the only positive aspect of the burger was the sauce. The mayonnaise had a buttery and creamy texture, however if I wanted to just have mayonnaise, I would have taken a direct train to Brussels from St Pancras on the Eurostar train!                                                                                                                            Overall, the experience was terrible in all aspects apart from the look and feel of the restaurant. The flavour of the food was non-existent and what made matters worse was the price I had to pay. I would have to admit that this experience has to be up there with the experience I had at Steakout, however I believe that GBK tops Steakout given the size of patty that I received. The only positives I can pick are that the interior was fresh and cosy, the staff were friendly and perhaps this could have been the worst GBK whereas the rest of the branches perform and produce high standards of quality food. Would I come here again? Very unlikely which has the potential to lead to an impossible chance of me going back to savour the food as I would not travel all the way to Essex to have mayonnaise. I am Belgian born; however I am not insane or at least I hope not!

KFC – LU4 8EZ and Drive-Thru Competition

fitzgerald 2070, Instagram

I have reviewed McDonald’s and Burger King; therefore, it seems fitting to review a KFC also. As well as KFC, I will be comparing a McDonald’s and KFC Drive-Thru to observe which one of the 2 franchises can give my meal quicker.    I arrived at the KFC and was pleasantly surprised that the brand has aimed to change the overall design with more wooden elements along with the splashes of red and white to give the restaurants a comfort food element. I ordered the Zinger Stacker Meal which came to a total of £6.19. I donated the fries to my younger brother as this was the only way to keep him quiet during my review, unfortunately he did not share a single chip with me, so I have no comment to make on the fries, quite literally.                                                                        The Zinger Stacker burger was a decent size and consisted of 2 Zinger patties sandwiched between a slice of cheese and served with Supercharger, Sweet chili sauce and a sesame seeded bun. The meal took a long 15 minutes to arrive, however the taste was worth the wait as the patty had a crispy skin which was accompanied beautifully by a soft and spicy chicken breast. The Supercharger sauce was superb, tangy and creamy which reminded me of a spicy mayonnaise sauce that I can only buy when I visit Belgium. The bun was soft and tasted better with the sesame seeds. Furthermore, I was not a fan of the Sweet chili sauce. There was no reason in particular, I just wasn’t a fan.                                                                        Overall, it was an enjoyable experience to savour this burger as the double patty along with the Supercharger sauce made the burger tasty with an almost rich texture. Would I come here again? Very likely as the burger was excellent, however I would not bring my brother so I could eat a full meal and next time I would ask for the burger only to have Supercharger sauce inside.

The winner was McDonald’s, however there were a number of contributing factors such as the KFC was busier at the time of entering the Drive-Thru, furthermore it appeared as if there were more staff operating in the McDonald’s. I believe that the system of ordering before collecting your meal is the best form of operations in a restaurant to receive your meal as quickly as possible. It is clear that Drive-Thru’s have become increasingly in demand with examples of Starbucks showing how effective they can be.

Interview – CR

I will be providing a different viewpoint in this current post, this post will give an interview with an owner of a number of gastro pubs and restaurants to give an insight into running and making high quality gourmet burgers, for security purposes the person’s name has remained confidential and therefore the owner will be called CR.

Burger Boy: Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to speak to me.

CR: You’re very welcome, no problem

Burger Boy: So, let’s get started. What is your favourite burger?

CR: My favourite burger is a lamb burger that is served with a toasted sesame sourdough bun, mayonnaise, ketchup and caramelised onion with maybe some strips of bacon if I’m not dieting.

Burger Boy: Do you think people will stop buying burgers?

CR: Maybe, who knows. I’m not sure all of the burger lovers around the world saw the vegan trends coming, I think alternatives to bread could come as it’s difficult to keep good, proper bread fresh for a long time. Ask your dad if he can whip up something new for me? (laughing)

Burger Boy: Let’s see what happens (laughing)

Burger Boy: What’s the most exotic and most surprising burger you’ve tasted except for your own?

CR: Trust me it wasn’t a Tesco one, but when I was in France many years ago I tried a horse meat burger, the meat was tender and tasted a bit like a Aberdeen Angus beef burger. It was beautiful with mustard and the toasted brioche bap

Burger Boy: You’re disgusting, but I respect you for your honesty mate! (jokingly)

CR: You asked, maybe you should’ve asked me simple baby questions!

Burger Boy: Do you remember the first burger you ever had?

CR: I do in fact! It was when I was living up north as a kid with my mum and we used to have this old-fashioned frying pan and I kid you not, it made the best burgers in the world. Mum used to mix beef, pork and some spices I can’t remember. She moulded them into 4-ounce patties and cooked them to perfection, I then ran to the deli shop while she was cooking them and brought back 6 crusty rolls. Slapped the burgers in the roll, drenched them in ketchup and I used to demolish about 3 in one sitting I remember.

Burger Boy: Wow you’re remembering it like it was yesterday! Can you tell us how, in all your multiple locations, you maintain a high-quality burger that you’ve been serving for years?

CR: You know as well as me from your old man’s bakery that never ever in a food business, cut corners! It’s important to buy the best meat, best cheese, sauce etc. Don’t be afraid to spend the extra penny and invest in your local suppliers, because all your doing is helping the cause and you’ll get more word of mouth by telling your customer about how you get the products to stock room to griddle to plate. Another part is to try and test different variations outside your restaurant opening hours, sample it with family and colleagues and if it works, trial it. There’s no harm to push the boat out.

Burger Boy: Cheers mate, thank you so much for your time.

CR: Anytime my friend, after all your dad supplies me with the dough!

Here underneath are some of the fresh burger buns that my family business supplies to CR. We have a white knot roll and a granary roll which are both perfect options with a lamb or beef patty.

nine – Plant burgers have 0 calories?

Neat Burger – W1B 2LE

News of Neat Burger first came across in the headlines after hearing that this burger chain was being funded by superstar racing driver Lewis Hamilton and owner of various nightclubs and restaurants across London, Ryan Bish. The surprising elements of this restaurant was that 100% of the food was Vegan based. The Vegan element of food and burgers has really evolved over the past years and has certainly become a craze in London and vibrant regions of the United Kingdom such as Manchester. The trend has flooded all over from supermarkets to social media influencers and sports personalities promoting plant-based products as sustainable alternatives to meat.

Furthermore, adapting to the concept of becoming a Vegan has become difficult as I simply love meat and regard it as a key aspect of my lifestyle. I think that it is only right to provide a variety of burgers to my fans and live up to the expectation and as I stated I will be risking my life in sampling as many different types of burgers possible.

It came to my attention that Neat Burger had just opened, therefore I popped in to sample my first ever vegan burger, hopefully not my last! First impressions of the restaurant were that Neat Burger had aimed to relate the 100% plant theme through the pale pastel and neutral colours of rose, forest green and white. The interior was simplistic yet strong with the neutral colours and elements of Neat Burger were very clearly Instagrammable spots that would attract a large amount of consumers such as the retro telephone box with the led phrase, ‘ I Plant Get You Out Of My Head’.

I only ordered a Chick’n Burger which came to a whopping and overpriced figure of £7.49. The situation was helped by the exotic and effective interior, furthermore the burger took approximately 5 minutes to arrive.

The burger was medium sized and at a glance, the meat-free chicken styled burger looked like any other normal chicken filet burger. Hesitantly, I took my first bite of the burger which consisted of a plain white bap, meat free patty, mayonnaise and lettuce. Honestly, the burger had flavour and a consistency that made the burger taste like chicken and the difference was ever so subtle, the vegan taste arrived as an aftertaste to my excitement and was not felt throughout the complete taste of the burger. The bun tasted frozen-like, however was soft and went well with the patty, the burger was complimented well by the sauce and salad which was nothing extra ordinary or out of the blue.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience due to the atmosphere that was created from the first ever Neat Burger, the quirky parts added to the positive atmosphere and the burger was better than I expected, however the price to pay for a product that did not have any meat content surprised me, I would not pay that amount for a salad. Would I come here again? Unlikely, however if I was with some friends who were desperate to go I would tag along and order a £2.49 Karma Cola.

Peri-Peri Original – LU3 1JS

It was a cold day and after a dismal time watching Luton football club play, my friends and I decided on some comfort food post game, this led us to one of the back streets of Luton and to a restaurant which was flooded with cars and many people queuing almost outside the entrance, if it was good enough for them it was good enough for us.

Firstly, it seemed as if a house had been converted into a restaurant, with its bold colours of green and red, the restaurant stood out among the housing estate. The bold colours of the exterior matched the interior with the brightly coloured sofas and elements of grey to keep the restaurant up-to date.

The menu was well lit, and the various items were clearly displayed, it was straightforward and uncomplicated, to my approval there weren’t too many or too little items on the menu.

I ordered a Double Burger meal which came to a total of £6.38 – very reasonable priced I thought so far. We sat upstairs and waited for our call through a speaker to collect our food. The meal arrived in the space of approximately 10 minutes to my delight as I was starving. Furthermore, the meal was very appealing from appearance as the plate was stacked with a large sized burger and what seemed like a mountain of fries that were piping hot. The burger consisted of a soft floured ciabatta style bap, 2 marinated Peri chicken breasts, a slice of cheese with subtle hints of lettuce and mayonnaise.

The burger was dripping in the marinade and on the first bite gave the burger a unique and exquisite flavour as the sauce worked well with the soft, large and juicy chicken breasts which also had a fiery kick due to the spice. The burger bun was soft with touches of flour and worked well with the patty as the bread was fresh. The added extras complimented the burger and the mayonnaise added to the flavour and helped to combat and balance the spices of the burger. The fries were hot, crispy and the right size to pack a punch. The best part was the complimentary garlic and chilli sauce which were delightful when drenched on top of the fries.

To summarise, the experience was very pleasant, the meal was a good size with high quality and flavour that I still remember to this day. The slight criticism was the location could have used elements of wood to make the location feel more like home. Ironic given the fact we were surrounded by a housing estate. I feel that Peri-Peri Original was an updated and larger portion size of a Nando’s. Would I come here again? Very likely as the food was very good and filled me up.

sept – Bonjour et Bouffer

McDonald’s – 140 Av. des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France

Bonjour, In this burger review I have decided to change the scenery. My favourite street in Paris is the location for this burger review, I chose the location for 2 reasons. Firstly, I chose the Champs- Élysées in Paris as this is one of the Parisian hearts, the street has everything from the variety and range of high street shops, the places to eat and the Champs-Élysées shows a true image and gives a key idea of the heritage in the city. Secondly, I chose this McDonald’s in particular as it was one of the most extraordinary McDonald’s I have ever eaten at.

August 24th in Paris, it was hot, maybe too hot for my liking. The Champs-Élysées was busy as usual and I felt the need to grab a bite to eat from a place I could trust. I would estimate that 90% of people would therefore eat at McDonald’s. Outside the branch, it was shaped and designed with glass which made it sleek, on entrance the shop was one of the best-designed McDonald’s I had ever seen. A perfect blend of brightly coloured led lights which were complimented with black seating, a mix of neutral colours and a good blend of lighting. Most notably was an extension of hanging lights by the staircase going up to the 2nd floor.

This McDonald’s was particularly special as it was complete with a salad bar and barista style coffee bar. On the right-hand side were more touchscreens than they eye could see, there was no queuing and ordering to the cashier system which struck me. I ordered a double patty Filet-O-Fish, fries and a chocolate KitKat McFlurry, indeed you heard correctly, the McDonald’s serves supersize burgers and chocolate flavoured ice cream. The total came to approximately 15 euros and took around 5 minutes for the meal to be ready. (No faults so far).

The burger bun was soft and the usual taste, the fish patty was cooked well, delicious and complimented nicely with the cheese and tartar sauce. Negative aspects of the burger were the overall size, however the 2nd fish patty made up for this. The fries were thin, soft, salty and delicious, the fries were well complemented with a unique Pommes-Frites sauce only available in Paris. The sauce was creamy, white with a hint of garlic and herb that tasted scrumptious with the burger.

Overall, this was a fantastic experience, the interior of the restaurant was superior to all the McDonald’s outlets I have visited. The food was up to the standards the company has set over they years, moreover and extra star goes towards the double Filet-O-Fish. My only negative comment was the size of the burger which could have been bigger, however I am being slightly picky. Would I come here again? Very likely on every visit I make to the Champs-Élysées.

Steakout – LU1 2QH

Steakout was recommended through family members, so let us see if members of my family had similar high burger standards even though I highly doubt it. Steakout was originally established in 2008 and had 10 restaurants spread out across the U.K. Moreover, the location of this restaurant was not located centrally and took quite a while to reach our destination, this Steakout’s location was on a side street in the town which has 2 meaning’s. The food is either incredible or a disaster.

At first glance, the restaurant seemed well decorated. The outside was well lit with elements of black and brown, a common theme to the majority of steak house styled restaurants across the country. Furthermore, the interior had a good array of lighting and large parts of the restaurant had wooden pieces which gave a good feel to the restaurant. This Steakout was decorated with cowhide rugs and a large led sign of a steak. Revolutionary in my opinion and well decorated, however not a design for the Vegan or Hindu community for obvious reasons.

My company and I were taken to a secluded and intimate round table with a range of standard sauces such as ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise, unfortunately the table and seating was unclean which showed the staff to be more reactive than pro-active and a lack of work ethic and therefore being lazy. The menu was incredibly confusing, it ranged from different types of meat, seafood, burgers, appetisers, sides, add-ons and that was only the first page of this encyclopaedia. In the end after much confusion, I chose a £5.95 Signature Chicken Burger with an extra £2.95 for a portion of fries which came to a total of £8.54 as I opted for tap water with my food.

The food arrived after 25 minutes which felt a little longer than expected. The burger consisted of a spicy chicken filet, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, Monterey jack cheese which was fitted inside a seeded brioche bun. Honestly, this was one of the worst burgers I have had in my life. The patty was dry, had zero flavour and smaller than the palm of my hand. The extras inside and burger bun tasted outdated and had no texture, the worst part was they forgot to put sauce in my burger! Even after such a painful excuse and experience of a burger is there even any point in reviewing the fries? I highly doubt you would travel to a steak house just to savour fries.

In summary, the exterior, interior and environment of Steakout was excellent, however  the taste of food was a shamble and a feeble attempt of a burger. Would I come here again? Absolutely and categorically never, very unlikely given how poor the experience was.

Nando’s – W1U 6RS

Toff-the-lop https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g503790-d731287-i190939154-Nando_s_Southend-Southend_on_Sea_Essex_England.html

One of the biggest mysteries of the food industry is the origin of Nando’s, is the brand Portuguese or South African. Founded in 1987, the brand has elements that have been implemented into British culture such as the term to have a Cheeky Nando’s and Fantoke which is a mixture of Fanta and Coke. The brand has changed the game of advertising and marketing through their clever use of social media websites such as Instagram.

I visited this Nando’s a while back with some colleagues as they fancied a bite which was slightly more upmarket than a take-away from a fast-food franchise such as a KFC. We entered the restaurant with the iconic black and red shop front and were immediately welcomed by a staff member who took us downstairs, the ambience was incredible. A good variety of colours and wooden pieces accompanied with a range of lighting and a samba/salsa theme of music gave an incredible and unique vibe to the restaurant. There were no large menu screens by the counter, simply a laminated leaflet with all the options available to the consumer. I made sure before ordering that I remembered our table number, one of the biggest sins you could commit when eating in at Nando’s.

Furthermore, after scanning the menu, I went for my usual order of a Butterfly Chicken Breast Burger which consisted on two marinated chicken breast patties, tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise with garlic bread and Peri salted fries, I opted for bottomless free water so the total came to £13.25. Secondly, we sat back down and waited approximately 10-15 minutes for the meal to arrive.                                                                                               The main event, the burger was on the smaller scale, the 2 patties were slightly hidden under the bread, with more lettuce and tomato visible. The chicken was juicy, tender and had a good spicy flavour to it, however the ciabatta style bun was dry and as hard as a rock, honestly it was awful. The Peri salted fried were delicious, medium cut and had fantastic flavour. Finally, the garlic bread had similar textures to the burger bun, it was dry, tasted like it was out of date, however the garlic flavouring was excellent and the mayonnaise in the burger was nothing special.

In summary, the environment and interior of Nando’s has always been one of the best and the brand has truly mastered the art of the casual dining sector. Personally, I have felt that the brand has looked to cut costs in regard to the portion sizes as observed by my experience today. If you solely judge the food, the quality was high, however the size was not and I think that this is something we have to accept as Nando’s is one of the biggest food brands in the U.K. and this is the price we have to pay. Would I come here again? Only if I was forced by my friends, but I wouldn’t go out of my way based on the burger.

Frankster’s Burgers – LU1 2LJ

Frankster’s Burgers was originally founded in 2016, the brand originally set-up restaurants in northern parts of the U.K. such as Batley and Blackburn. The franchise had a range of burger products and recently established one of their restaurants in Luton, Bedfordshire after the previous space which was utilised by Five Guys closed its doors to business.

It only seemed correct to savour and taste the burgers that Frankster’s were offering. The shop was located on the corner of the high street, in my opinion the best spot for a restaurant given the multiple viewing points the location creates and the potential creativity that can be utilised to attract customers.

The first impressions of Frankster’s was clear, bold and simple. The shop front had a bright red sign with the name and logo, Frankster’s was notably designed with glass and a glass shell, frame and outer layer of the shop to bring in and expose as much natural light as possible. With this in mind, Frankster’s shop floor appeared spread out given the large size of Frankster’s shop floor. It appeared that the brand had taken previous items and designs of the past restaurant owners (Five Guys) with the tiles and the red and white colour scheme which almost mimicked Five Guys. Elements of the lighting such as the hanging bulbs were luxurious, however the lighting utilised on the ceiling was old-fashioned and outdated, they were unacceptable to be utilised in a restaurant and was a reminder of factories I have visited in the past.

Secondly, the menu was well lit, displaying a range of products and to my approval, there was a total set price for the burger meals, however of the many beverages that were on display, only 4 or 5 beverages were a part of the meal which was a disappointment.

I ordered the Big Mama meal which consisted of a soft floured bun which held a fried chicken filet, cheese, hash brown, jalapenos, lettuce accompanied with sauces of buffalo and mayonnaise. The Big Mama was £6.99 and served with fries and a sugar free soft drink, a modest price in my opinion. I received a buzzer to wait for my meal to arrive, even though I ordered before my companion and other diners while glancing around like an inspector, my food arrived a good 4/5 minutes after. At first, I thought the buzzer was broken, however they were just loitering to get my meal prepared.

When I received my meal in the red basket, I picked a handful of chilli and garlic sauces as well as mayonnaise – I’m Belgian, it’s a lifestyle! I sat down and it came to my attention that the burger was a good size, bigger than previous burger experiences, the patty was bigger than the well sized bun and was stacked high to my delight. The taste of the burger was good, the contents worked well together and was complimented nicely by the sauce, the only negative comment would have to be the patty was a little too salty, despite this the burger was still delicious. The burger bun was soft, well toasted however the extra doughy feel made the bun feel as if it had been defrosted.                                                                                                 The fries were thin, crispy and had a reasonable amount of flavour and salt content. Furthermore, the meal worked superbly with the garlic and chilli sauces which gave the experience an added star.

Overall, it was a positive experience at Frankster’s in regards to the food and small elements of the interior, however the cutting of design costs and the restaurant had a feeling that everything was too spread out due to the size needless to say it was still a good experience even though my food arrived late. Would I come here again? Likely given the flavour and location of this Frankster’s.

Old Nerd Reviews, Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls0usXk9wdQ

Honestly, even with my vast burger knowledge, living in the U.K. and driving past Burger King (or BK as it’s known on the street) on countless occasions. Surprisingly I had never eaten at one of their branches in my life!                                    I have mentioned before that I am risking my life for the fans of this blog; the following review is a clear example of the life-changing experience that is about to occur.

I drove to this Burger King at about 7.30pm after a busy day of working and running errands, it was important that I found a valuable and quick meal that did the job for my appetite. I was struck by the appearance of the restaurant, it was old and seemed as if the restaurant had not received refurbishment in over 20 years, it felt as if I had stepped back in time and was standing outside an old fashioned American diner on Route 66. Furthermore, my first impression was correct as everything inside the Burger King seemed outdated. The white walls and lighting made me feel that I was in a doctor’s surgery, there were brightly coloured seats and a menu styled as you would expect from large burger franchise – Images of items that raise your expectation of the product however your dreams get shattered when you see the burger in person.

Moreover, after scanning the products on display, I ordered the regular King Fish meal which came to £5.79. The meal came in under 5 minutes which was delightful, a big plus point for me was that Burger King offered complimentary mayonnaise with their food unlike McDonald’s.

The burger was a reasonable sized burger, the burger was unique in the fact that instead of a fish patty, there was 3 fish fingers stacked with lettuce and sauce spread on 2 sesame seeded soft buns. The burger was piping hot, fitting and tasted good. The best part of the burger was the sauce, it was a mixture of mayonnaise and tartar sauce which gave the sauce a tangy and smooth texture. The burger bun was soft, however didn’t give me a wow factor, it felt much like a standard frozen bun which gave me flashbacks of Friday school dinners. The fries were decent sized, well cooked and fluffy; however, the portion size was not justifiable to be a regular sized portion of fries, they were a child’s portion at best. As was expected, the drink had more ice than fluid, something which I have become accustomed to over the years of having my fair share of big food brands, therefore Burger King failed to disappoint.

To summarise, my first Burger King or BK did the job as was expected, the meal did not disappoint and did not wow me, it had elements that were outstanding such as the sauce inside the burger. Would I come here again? If there were no other options available, I would digest a King Fish meal and not be disappointed, however the interior and shop front was vile.
